Our geographic area covers all of the South Bay and Long Beach areas of California. Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) are licensed by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences and are required to pass rigorous written examinations and/or oral examinations before licensure. MFTs receive intensive training in family systems and are uniquely qualified to speak about family and relationship issues. The services of MFTs are helpful in a wide range of contexts, such as schools, corporations, and hospitals.
Marriage and Family Therapists are licensed by the State of California after completing the required education, hours of experience and examinations. Please see our "What is an MFT?" page for more information.
Interns have completed their degree and have registered with the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences. They work in various settings under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This listing of our membership includes Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Interns and Trainees. Trainees are students currently enrolled in graduate programs in the process of earning a Master's Degree. They may work in limited settings, including non-profit settings under the supervision of a licensed clinician. |
